DEF-LOGIX, INC. ACHIEVES INTEGRATION WITH MCAFEE EPO AGENT THROUGH THE MCAFEE SECURITY INNOVATION ALLIANCE

Integrated Solutions Deliver Enhanced Security Capabilities to Simplify Threat Defense Lifecycle for Customers

SAN ANTONIO, March 19, 2018 – Def-Logix, Inc. announced today that it has achieved technical integration of Entrap with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Security Management Console Agent, enabling customers to deploy more robust security solutions and better protect their assets from ever-evolving cyber threats.

As a member of the McAfee Security Innovation Allianceä, Def-Logix, Inc. plays a critical role in the program’s mission to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments, bringing better value and more protection against the growing threat landscape to joint customers. Through this partnership, Def-Logix, Inc. and McAfee address a rising industry need to shorten response times from security events and more easily remediate compromised systems, leading to a simplified Threat Defense Lifecycle.

”Entrap will allow government organizations and enterprises to take control of their cyber defenses,” said Paul Rivera, CEO of Def-Logix.  “Entrap focuses on process behavior making it immune to common Anti-Virus evasion techniques.  While Entrap’s signature feature enables malware analysts to quickly deploy detection and prevention safeguards.”

This Def-Logix technology, Entrap, enables the ability to profile API patterns of system calls from every process on an endpoint, identifying broad categories of malware.  Entrap prevents exploitation of vulnerabilities and identifies shellcode, keylogging, remote control, and HTTPS-encrypted communications regardless of Anti-Virus evasion techniques that the latest malware employs.  This minimizes the need to update signatures when zero-day exploits emerge.

“We’re pleased to see Def-Logix complete McAfee compatibility testing for a use case that we are confident will interest our common customers,” said D.J. Long, Vice President, Strategic Business Development, McAfee. “Benefits of our integrated solutions include reduced operational costs, greater protection and improved compliance.”
