What is Entrap 2020?
Entrap, utilizes complex behavior monitoring to detect malicious activity within the operating system. Entrap can identify behavioral patterns within software by comparing system activity against a database of malware behavior sequences collected in a lab environment using Entrap’s learning/collection techniques.
The benefits of Entrap are:
- Detection of zero day and polymorphic/metamorphic malware are detected within seconds.
- Common ancestry and evolutionary relationships of malware are quantified which is useful in attribution.
- Entrap works in conjunction with Windows Defender and can be plugged in to act as a second layer of defense.
